Alexander Deanesi is a painter born in 1967. He graduated from the Fine Arts School in Florence, a classical training that naturally led him to oil painting.
In his works, Alexander Deanesi therefore addresses the relationship to the origin, the relationship to love, which he sees as a vibration. By generating music, his works transmit emotions.
At the age of 17 he produced his first works in the style of Caravaggio. Later, he decided to bring to the traditional painting techniques of the great masters of the Renaissance, of which he is the heir, a touch of modernity inspired by Pop-Art and Geek Art. He decides to create a reality that is both whimsical and enchanting, to lead us on the path of Beauty, through symbols that are both religious and historical. In his compositions, he merges the East and the West, the traditional and the contemporary, the interior and the exterior, as if to testify to a form of resistance. His works, at the crossroads of the old and the new, question the place of Man in nature, in an increasingly mechanical world, in a world in search of meaning. His treatment of color reveals a language of its own. True to his path, he affirms that color is a renaissance, and that it represents a form of liberation that allows the artistic creation of our time to be elevated, like Florence under the influence of the Medici. In fact, he broadened his palette, particularly through contact with the Pop and Geek art movements. Alexander Deanesi is the painter of the world, an optimist of our generation. His works are music that transports us and questions the place of Man and his codes in contemporary society. He paints the joy, the magic and the Beauty which, he is convinced, are all promised to us.
Alexander Deanesi’s technique
For each of his artworks, Alexander Deanesi makes sketches and drawings to implement his main idea. This study work is particularly interesting since it will determine the subjects and superimposition of the very extensive plans. The drawing is then reproduced on the canvas, and undergoes some modifications, additions, and deletions. Then comes the application of oil paint, which has an exceptional technical capacity to translate all the effects that the artist wishes to achieve.
