The exhibition Memento mori from 20 September to 03 October 2018 was dedicated exclusively to the artist Tempo and was his first solo show. Tempo proposed a return to symbolism and the spirit of graffiti. In immersion, he invited us on a journey at the crossroads of the Celestial, the Earth and the Human, as if to ask the question of our relationship to life, death and all the reflections that make them up.
In 2006, invited to paint the Gost Tunel in Japan by the two Tokyo artists Imaone and Ndec, the artist was forced to use a type of spray paint with little coverage and for domestic use. Adapting to this new medium, he created his first “transparent” work, like a floating bubble. He plays with diluted colours and refines this technique, voluptuous in its forms and airy in its lines, which finally becomes his identity.
His works are so many stories of life, where the bubbles follow one another as the moments pass by, all telling a story.
“Life is fragile, I paint it as it is; ready to burst.
