RAST

Rast is a 27-year-old self-taught artist from the Yvelines (78). After spending his youth drawing on his notebooks, he started tagging at 14. Two years later he started lettering with the blaze he chose for himself: “For my blaze, I was inspired by my family name. And I like the letters that make it up.

Despite this, he abandoned lettering about ten years ago and preferred to do portraits.

Hip-hop is only part of his inspiration; his portraits are chosen from a wide variety of offbeat universes, such as Snoop Dogg or Raoni and Louis de Funès, which mark a stage in his artistic expression.
