Yeti-TV

Yeti-TV is an interactive electronic light installation designed for Vallensbæk, a station on the Copenhagen suburban railway, Denmark.

The principle is to install several Pingpongscreen* screens that work like a TV channel package. Yeti-TV offers a range of different thematic channels: nature, history, travel, science, sport, etc.

The television media system is parodied here and reduced to its simplest expression: a set of coloured pixels arranged in different coherent movements. The highly pixellated images border on abstract pointillism. In this way Yeti-TV does not impose a univocal reading of the screen but transforms it into a chromatic spatial phenomenon.

The channels are updated regularly so that the audience is in a constantly renewed visual environment. They also have the possibility to change the display of the channels by means of interactive systems.

This project proposes a strong transformation of the existing space through colour, movement, sound and interaction with the audience.
