Who doesn’t know the powerful and profound comic book Persepolis? Its author, Marjane Satrapi, is a Franco-Iranian feminist, painter, cartoonist and director.
Determined and energetic, this versatile artist has returned to her primary passion which has never left her since childhood: painting. For the exhibition “Femme ou rien”, she has painted 15 works after seven years since her last exhibition.
The bright colours give her women even more strength, and they are, of course, the absolute protagonists of her work.
The exhibition, which opened at the Galerie Penthièvre in Paris on 8 October 2020, should have been on view until 28 November, but had to be closed due to health regulations.
We hope it will reopen soon and we will follow her exceptional work throughout her varied career as an artist: girl power!
